Program Overview

About The Role

Th e Senior Data Scientist utilizes expertise in discovering and analyzing complex data sets and data sources to derive actionable insights using statistical methods, machine learning and data visualization tools . Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

• Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis .

• Utilize scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products to inform high quality analytic decisions.

• Proactively r etrieve data from various sources and a nalyz e data for better understanding .

• B uild and utilize Artificial Intelligence ( AI )/ Machine Learning (ML) tools t o automate processes for efficiencies .

• B uild high quality prediction systems .

• Utilize data visualization and graphical applications, to include Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau .

• Utilize major data science languages, such as R and Python .

• Perform m anag ement and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL . 

• Perform statistical analysis, and data mining algorithms.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor ’s degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science , with a minimum of 17 years of experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of work experience.

• Professional or graduate certificate in Data Science from a university or major online learning platform,

• Experience in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office Power BI and Tableau.

• Experience d in major data science languages, such as R and Python .

• Experience d in managing and merging disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL .

• Experience d in statistical analysis and developing data mining algorithms.

• Experience d with large data multi - INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.

• Experienced in algorithm development, data structures, and software development practices.

• Experienced knowledge of coding and scripting, information science, mathematics, machine learning, visual analytic modeling tools, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to create repeatable, widely applicable procedures to support all-source intelligence analysis and production.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.

• Ability to work collaboratively with users and stakeholders.

• Capacity to adapt to changing situations to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication , analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in a relevant field , such as Data Science .

• Experience working in the customer environment is preferred.

S ecurity C learance : 

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required t o hold this clearance.

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
