Quality Manager | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $132,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure all manufactured products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage supplier quality programs, including audits and material inspections.
• Oversee internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and certifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality procedures and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100).
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a quality team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with specific industry standards (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949, FDA 21 CFR Part 820)
• Proficiency in advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Experience with Quality Management Software (QMS) implementation or administration
