A leading health system located in the great New York City metro region is now seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their award-winning healthcare team!

Reporting to Laboratory leadership, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and complex diagnostic testing in a fast-paced, CLIA-regulated clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely results that support high-quality patient care. Daily responsibilities include receiving and accessioning specimens, verifying specimen integrity, performing testing across core benches (hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank), operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting automated analyzers, preparing reagents and standards, executing and documenting daily quality control and calibrations, validating and releasing results in the LIS/EHR, promptly communicating critical values to providers, maintaining detailed records and SOP compliance, adhering to CAP/OSHA/HIPAA standards and biosafety practices, managing inventory, participating in proficiency testing and continuous improvement, assisting with phlebotomy as needed, and mentoring new staff, with flexibility for day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday rotations.

Ideal candidates will hold current ASCP/AMT certification with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in medical laboratory science or related field are preferred for this clinical lab role. Proven experience working in an acute care laboratory setting is highly desirable. Some training may be offered onsite as well as employment advancement opportunities.
