Job Description



AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Atlanta February 11th - 12th.  This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. 

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Atlanta, GA office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM  is seeking a highly talented Entry-Level Civil Engineer for employment in Atlanta, GA.

This position is expected to begin in May or June 2026.

This person will be responsible for performing engineering activities to support planning, designing, construction of water/sewage systems projects. Includes preliminary and final design, estimating and determining feasibility based on analysis of geographic and analytical data.

This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Builds analytic and design skills
  • Conducts planning and engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Conducts research and organizes findings in support of design development
  • Creates preliminary and final designs, prepares and defends calculations, develops preliminary schematic sketches to be used for final design drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Will use computer software such as GIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams
  • Knowledge of GIS
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and be familiar with civil engineering computer based modeling software
  • Course work or experience with focus on water and wastewater design, pumping systems calculations, site grading, profiling, and integration of all site services
